- The teacher chooses seven kids to come to the front of the class. These kids are “it.”
- The teacher says “Heads down, thumbs up, it’s time to play seven up!”
- The kids put their heads down on their desks, and put their thumbs up in front of them.
- The kids who are “it” then walk around the room, and each person who is “it” puts down the thumb of one person in the room.
- Once the activity is complete, the kids who are “it” go back to the front of the room.
- The teacher then says, “Heads up, seven up!”
- Everyone then raises their head and the kids whose thumbs were pressed stand up and have to guess who did it.
- If the person guesses correctly, they get to exchange places with the person who chose them. If they are incorrect, they sit back down.
- Once all of the guesses have taken place the game is repeated, starting with step 2.
